Apartment Review for Burlington Apartments - Saint Paul, MN

I have stayed in this apartment for a few months. Although the location is very good to me and the bus line “3B” is in front of the community, I still feel that it is not worth for people to pay over $800 per month for a one-bed room with so bad sound insulation and indifferent staffs. I am not the lucky one who can live at the top floor. Due to the bad sound-proofing for this building (and probably an “energetic” neighbor as well), I have been bothered by every sound when the neighbor on my top is walking, opening his/her door or closet, etc. I have complained this issue to the managerial team for a few times but nobody takes actions to deal with this problem. Moreover, I even don’t know if any of the crews has already done something to solve this problem. If this is the architectural problem, I think the property should try to improve it. On the contrary, if they figure out the problem is really caused by a particular neighbor, they should also try to communicate with this resident(s) and maintain a better living experience. BTW, the reason I choose to stay here in the beginning is because of the energetic leasing specialists. However, I felt I was wrong because they totally forgot who I am after I moved in a week later. Every time when I and some other neighbors go to the office and ask about some services, the future “potential” residents always have higher service priority than the current residents. This uncomfortable experience let me feel that these staffs just try to make a deal but do not want to maintain the long-term business. Since I do not pay less than other residents, I should not deserve the strident living experience and uncaring attitude from the staffs.
